When most people think of supplements for body builders, their mind may immediately jump to steroids. In fact, there are many safe and effective supplements on the market to boost energy and enhance the results of a good workout.

Chromium is important for balancing blood sugar levels, and can be useful for anyone with too much of a sweet tooth.

Many energy-boosting supplements contain caffeine, which provide a quicker energy boost. However, there are some available that are herbal based, containing ingredients such as ginseng, which provide a more long-term energy boost.
In addition to a good training regime and a sensible eating plan, body building supplements can improve results in both muscle gain and fat loss. They can also help to maintain good health, by providing the body with essential nutrients for optimum performance.
